Every summer term, students of College of Business Administration and Accountancy of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas is often deployed in the field without knowing why, they only know that they would need it to finish the course and nothing else, but for some students, they take it seriously as part of their preparation for the workforce itself because of the competition. For the fact that the CBAA of DLSU-D has a the largest population in the university they have also the poorest OJT system and the poorest support for OJT students in which students finished their OJT without getting any appropriate knowledge and skills that they need to acquire in that program, that is why a new OJT system program is needed to finally fill the gap. In this new OJT system that is proposed and must implement right away, it will solved and address the following issue:

  • The number of affiliated company of each department has
  • The credibility of each affiliated company that each department has
  • The support coming from each department in terms of directly linking the students to their partner companies
  • The questionable issue regarding the tuition fee that is payed by the students prior to the OJT term
  • The questionable OJT system that the CBAA has in which students cannot get a hand in hand learning experience outside the campus
With the new propose OJT program, it will be more systematic and organize, because I did experience being outside the campus trying to find a company who will accept me as a trainee and it is frustrating because I don't know where will I start and at the end, I end at the company that is not related to my course so as a result I gained zero knowledge. Many of us thinks that the degree we finished will not dictate our career, yes some of us may employed at the call center other agents etc. but this program could somehow strengthen our interest towards our selected career in the future.
